Seems hard to believe but Bren-Don Squares is turning one! Come celebrate with us on July 10th at 8:00pm for our Anniversary Dance with Gary Shoemake. Spring Fling Dance with Ken Bower

We are so excited to bring yet another international caller to our club this year, as Ken Bower will be calling our annual Spring Fling Dance. The dance will be held at our hall in Geneva on April 25th at 4:30pm. More information regarding tickets will follow. National Square Dance Convention

Just wanted to pass on information about this years 59th National Square Dance Convention. The event will be held in Louisville, Kentucky on June 23 - 26. Brenda and I will be attending and would like to invite anyone is able and interested to attend. As I have always said to get better in Square Dancing you need to dance whenever you have a chance. This will be a great opportunity to dance to and with some of the greatest square dancers and callers in the world. Hope to see you there.

Valentine's Day Dance

This past Saturday night BrenDon Squares was excited to host Gary Shoemake, at our First Annual Valentine’s Day Dance. We had a great turn out, over 60 people attended and a great time was had by all. Thank you to Gary for coming, and for all you who helped make this event such a huge success.

Exciting Times at BrenDon Squares

Last night a good time was had by all at the Lottie Ainsworth Dance with Whirl and Twirl. Thank you everyone who came, BrenDon Squares once again made a good showing. Reminder to everyone that this coming weekend we will be meeting in our new home, the Historic Geneva School House. We are excited to finally have a true HOME! This new facility will allow continued growth of our club and will surely provide a plush dance environment, with floating wood floors and AIR CONDITIONING! See you this coming weekend, and be prepared to eat a lot of ICE CREAM.

DON’T FORGET TO CALL YOUR COUPLES THIS WEEK AND REMIND THEM ABOUT THE LESSONS STARTING ON SUNDAY.

Our New Dance Hall

No that isn’t a picture of our new dance hall, well actually it is about 100 years ago. Our new dance hall will be located in the Old Geneva Elementary School in Geneva, Florida. Renovations are nearing completion and we expect to be in the new hall at the end of September. We are told a floating wood floor will be installed in the community room, and will be able to hold at least eight squares. Bren-Don Squares is asking for anyone who is interested and can help with the completion of the project to come and help. Every Saturday we meet at the school, men and women, to lend a helping hand in completing the renovation of this important landmark. We are excited about how the new dance hall will help our club continue its growth.

Our New Club

It’s has been an exciting month for our new club. We started the month by participating in the Geneva Fourth of July parade. Being in the parade supporting the community and waving at everyone was fun, although we could have done without the extreme heat! Wow it was HOT! Next, we had our first class of Mainstream dancers graduate last Sunday. We were all excited to finally reach the graduation day, and ready to learn more about square dancing. Then, we had our first “Raid” on another club, “Whirl and Twirl” last Wednesday. We have their banner and look forward to them coming to visit our club and get it back soon. Today, is our first official dance, and many other FIRST’S are sure to come. Exciting times at BrenDon Squares!
